Good morning, please find attached a Notice of Extension to the Trusteeship (Administration) of Local 2328. The request to put the local under Administration was granted in March 2023, and under the rules of the Ontario Labour Relations Board (OLRB) we must make this request when exceeding the 1-year that was granted.

We have made this request as there are a couple of more items as outlined in this notice that we must complete prior to requesting the administration be lifted.

As noted in the paragraph just prior to the timeline for these items to be completed, I can make request to the National Presidents Office (NPO) to lift the Administration as soon as the items are completed. I want to assure you all we are moving in the right direction.

The deal reached by the previous executive was presented to the members for a ratification vote. You voted it down, 87 to 45. Your administrator and representative have initiated the next steps and will update you with new information as it becomes available.

In accordance with Article 7.8 of the CUPE National Constitution, Local 2328 was placed under Administration.

Administration places a local under the direct supervision of an administrator, replacing the elected officers of the local. This is a drastic step and it is only taken with substantive evidence that it is in the best interest of members.
